Attention all Helldivers! Sony has announced a Helldivers 2 movie is currently in the works from Sony Pictures. Asad Qizilbash, head of PlayStation Productions, shared the exciting news at CES stating: “Looking ahead as to what might come next, I’m excited to announce we are working with Sony Pictures on developing a film adaptation of our amazingly popular PlayStation game Helldivers 2.” While little information beyond the announcement was provided at the Sony CES 2025 press conference, this is very exciting for fans of the original games!

What we do know is the movie will be a collaboration between Sony Productions and Sony Pictures, the video game and movie studios of Sony Entertainment respectively. Automaton spies have kept much of the information from our correspondent, but presumably, the movie would be an action filled, story adaption following a team of Helldivers on their mission across the galaxy in defense of Super Earth.
